Getting Started with WaFloat

WaFloat is a floating WhatsApp button plugin for WordPress. The free version covers the core button experience. Pro unlocks multiple agents, business hours, display rules, and WooCommerce integration.

Requirements

Install the Free Plugin

Download the free plugin from your Gumroad purchase page, then install it in WordPress.

  1. Go to your Gumroad purchase page and download 1. Install This First — WaFloat Free (wa-float-button.zip).
  2. In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Upload wa-float-button.zip and click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
  3. Go to Settings > WhatsApp Chat Button. Enter your phone number with country code (no + or spaces — e.g. 9609901234) and click Save Changes. The button is now live on your site.
Phone number format: Always include the country code followed immediately by the number, with no +, spaces, or dashes. Example: US number +1 555 123 4567 becomes 15551234567.

Install the Pro Plugin

The Pro plugin is a separate add-on that extends the free plugin. Both must be active at the same time.

Install the free plugin first. WaFloat Pro requires the free plugin (wa-float-button) to be installed and active before it will activate.
  1. Download 2. Install This Second — WaFloat Pro (wafb-pro.zip) from your Gumroad purchase page.
  2. In WordPress go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Upload wafb-pro.zip and click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
  3. Go to Settings > WaFloat Pro ⚡ and enter your license key to unlock all Pro features. See Enter License Key for details.
